**JOB PURPOSE**

EQUS is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our Corporate Office Team. The Accounting Specialist is responsible for performing accounting and financial processes as well as a variety of related tasks in support of the Finance Team. This role will assist with accurate reporting of financial information, completing reports or specific financial analyses, and support the day-to-day processes of the team’s accounting and billing processes.

**DUTIES**
- General oversight and analysis of accounting entries and reporting
- Monthly financials and reporting
- Financial reporting and analysis
- Monthly cash flow and reporting
- Reporting and analysis of both cash inflows and outflows
- Work with external auditor for year-end purposes.
- Oversight and review of monthly reconciliations including, but not limited to, work in progress, construction revenue and expense, investment riders, and GST remittance.
- Quarterly Bank Covenant.
- Other duties as required by the Business Services Leader - Finance

**JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Strong analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail
- Strong computer skills
- Familiarity with NetSuite would be considered an asset

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA is required.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a financial management or accounting role.
