**Are you passionate about UNIX/Linux administration and value working for a company that embraces diverse innovative technology?
We are looking for an impactful and dedicated
**UNIX/Linux Systems Administrator** for our Integrated Global Services team located in our
**Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver or Toronto** to act as a point of contact for all Unix/Linux operational needs You will play a key role in the delivery of service excellence to our Managed IT Services clients.

**A Day in the Life**:

- Act as the go-to technical resource assisting our client with system monitoring, ticket resolution and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and availability
- Work directly with clients on UNIX/Linux technologies
- Work with clients on tasks such as capacity planning, installations, patching, upgrades, configuration and administration of systems on various physical and virtual platforms
- Assist with other technical infrastructure support activities as required
- Participate in group events and discussions with clients, vendors and other system consultants
- Follow the Long View and, where applicable, clients' change management methodology at all times
- Actively work in all monitoring tools
- Participate in monthly patching

**What You Bring**:

- At least 5 years of operational management experience in enterprise level environments
- Experience with the following:

- o Management and building of Red Hat (v./6/7/8) systems
- o Solaris (8/10/11)
- o SLES (V. 11-15)
- o OEM support
- Basic knowledge of VMware (6.5/7) and Azure
- Knowledge of fundamental concepts of distributed, complex enterprise deployments including any of the following:

- o Networking
- o Communication protocols
- o VLANs
- o Multi-tiered environments
- o Storage/Backups
- o Hypervisors
- o Routing
- o Monitoring
- o Capacity planning
- o File systems
- o Load balancing
- o Firewalls
- o Awareness of Security Platforms (CyberArk etc)
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability and willingness to work in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support
