**Position** **Summary**

The Facility Technician is responsible for the upkeep and improvements of the plant facility. This individual will monitor the condition of the plant and outside areas. The Facility Tech will respond to any concerns regarding the building and/or premises.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Performs facility audits and addresses any issues
- Responds to requests for any building and/or premises concerns.
- Performs repairs, PMs and projects that are Facility related.
- Documents all activities in our tracking system (Fiix)
- Supports the Maintenance Team with some repairs or PMs
- Snow removal on walkways during the winter months.
- Address Standard Work variances to help solve problems and concerns.
- Maintain work areas and tools according to Visual Management and 5S Standards.
- Responsible to ensure 5S process is followed, continuously improve area, and provide support to operators to ensure required action items occur
- Facilitate a continuous improvement culture by instilling Plan, Do, Check, Act, and root cause corrective action methodology to eliminate waste.
- Support the implementation of continuous improvement actions (Kaizen); participate in Kaizen process and share knowledge
- Perform other related duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Must be highly motivated with strong organizational skills
- Minimum 1-2 years of plant production experience
- Must be computer literate. E.g., Microsoft Windows, Office (excel/word/outlook)
- Must have experience with building renovations
- Work overtime as required
- Positive attitude when dealing with internal customers and external suppliers

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Stratford, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
