**Project Manager, Critical Infrastructure Protection**

Annual salary: $ 103,900.00 - 131,400.00

**What you'll do**
- Overview:
- One of BC Hydro’s key business priorities is to take steps to ensure compliance with the North American Electric

Reliability Corporation (NERC) Mandatory Reliability Standards (MRS). MRS have been adopted by the BC Utilities
- Commission to achieve, sustain and demonstrate compliance with its obligations to support the reliability of the bulk electric
- system. The approximately 120 adopted Standards cover topics such as real-time operations, long term transmission
- system planning, protection system maintenance programs and critical infrastructure protection.- BC Hydro has created a new two-year program to help strengthen our capacity to build, implement and sustain a robust

Critical Infrastructure Protection compliance program that significantly impacts many areas of the company.- In this two-year program, you’ll receive technical training and professional development opportunities combined with a

broad range of on-the-job experiences that will help you build a broad range of MRS compliance competence. You’ll
- accumulate skills, knowledge and professional relationships by completing four six-month rotations in various departments
- across our company, before being placed into a role within one of the business groups.- After the two-year program, you will be placed within one of the business groups in a Critical Infrastructure Protection role.
- In this role, you’ll develop through experience in different business groups, such as Integrated Planning, Operations,

Technology and Compliance, and through different types of work experience such as: planning programs, designing
- processes, conducting compliance tasks, perform compliance reviews and audit; support regulatory filings; and project
- management.
- Specific responsibilities include:
- Develop, implement, monitor, and sustain MRS compliance programs, processes, and practices
- Perform compliance work related to various Critical Infrastructure Protection domains, for example asset categorization,

security management, access control, configuration management, access control, incident response planning and training- Assess risks and implement internal controls related Critical Infrastructure Protection domains within or across business

groups- Investigate incidents, self-reporting, mitigation planning and continuous improvement implementation
- Conduct MRS compliance assurance activities, such as compliance and internal controls reviews and recommend

improvements.- Prepare for the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) triennial audit, including evidence collection, interview

preparations and response to auditor requests- Support regulatory processes, such as filings to the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) or BC Utilities

Commission (BCUC), including incident related proceedings and planning for new Standards coming into effect- Develop and maintain expertise and knowledge with Critical Infrastructure Protection, and MRS broadly, by building

relations with other utilities, interest groups and WECC- Identify improvements including governance, compliance monitoring processes/procedures and develop and implement

improvements- Develop and provide tracking information on a timely basis to decision-makers. Perform trend analysis to support or

challenge reporting

**What you bring**
- University degree or experience in relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in at least one of the following: cyber security, regulatory, compliance/audit,
- Experience in Industrial Control Systems (ICS) including SCADA and other Operational Technology (OT) used in the

Energy sector would be considered an asset
- Demonstrated experience combined with a strong ability to analyze and process a high volume of detailed information with

accuracy.
