**The Kitchen Supervisor** is responsible for all kitchen functions, including but not limited to food purchasing, receiving, preparation and maintenance of quality standards, safety, sanitation and cleanliness.

**What will you be doing?**
- Manage all aspects of the culinary operations at Kingpin Cambridge
- Actively involved with menu creation and planning, costing and new product development.
- Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
- Responsible to establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and follow supplier relationships as outlined by Kingpin Cambridge
- Responsible for purchasing product, food, beverage and paper supplies
- Control and adjust labour according to business volume
- Consistently monitor and control food costs to achieve budget while ensuring that Bingemans’ standards of quality and quantity of product is maintained
- Ensure that the kitchen’s cleanliness is maintained to standards and that equipment is in good working order through general and preventative maintenance.
- Prepare staff schedules according to business volume
- Clearly and effectively communicate goals, issues and general information to the kitchen staff and management.
- Exemplify a positive, progressive, problem solving management style.
- Work in a team environment with other departments in servicing our guests to exceed their expectations.
- Responsible for identifying, creating and monitoring proper safe work practices/procedures and for ensuring that all staff in the kitchen are fully and properly trained in the safe operation and procedures of all applicable operating equipment.
- Enforce, update and ensure compliance with all health standards, policies and procedures

**What we are looking for**:

- Minimum 2 years Restaurant/Kitchen Supervisory experience
- Post-Secondary Education in Restaurant Management/Hospitality Management preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating employees
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Proven leadership and business acumen skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Creative, enthusiastic, flexible, and innovative team player
- Will be on feet for extended periods of time
- Will be sitting when performing administrative tasks
- Will lift and carry items up to 50lbs
- Is required to work to the business needs, days, evenings, weekends, this will at times require longer hours especially during peak times
- Food Safety Certification Required( or willing to obtain)
- Standard First Aid/CPR C required ( or willing to obtain)
