People Stuff is recruiting for a **Store Manager** for our client. It's great opportunity to be a part of a new retail chain opening at the MicMac Mall. You will oversee all staff, budgets, and operations of our exciting and growing retail business. The Store Manager is responsible for upholding our vision and mission statements, managing all staffing and day to day operations of our expansive team.

To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful team builder and people person, a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive.

This position requires a valid drivers license along with the ability to lift multiple boxes.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Oversee day-to-day operations at retail locations
- Communicate with General Manager and managers at out of province locations
- Hire and maintain a staff of up to 12 employees
- Ordering, inventory, and pricing
- Maintain budgets and optimize expenses
- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
- Oversee recruitment and training of new employees, and assistant managers
- Direct the employee assessment process
- Ensure shift coverage during sick calls
- Prepare regular reports for management
- Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
- Provide solutions to issues
- Ensure merchandising standards are upheld

**What you'll bring**:

- Bachelor's Degree in a related area (preferred)
- 2+ years proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or similar role
- Experience in planning and budgeting
- Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to manage a diverse staff
- Experience with merchandising and visual design
- Ability to calmly handle HR issues such as employee conflicts
- Availability for evening and weekend work
