Position Overview

Footprints Healing Centre (FHC), an Indigenous-focused treatment centre, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Contracted Addictions Program Facilitator to deliver a comprehensive 8-week addictions and mental health program. This role is ideal for an experienced facilitator with a deep understanding of trauma-informed, culturally relevant care, who is passionate about supporting healing and recovery within Indigenous communities.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver a structured 8-week program focused on addiction recovery and mental wellness, with a trauma-informed, culturally competent lens.
- Incorporate Indigenous worldviews, teachings, and holistic practices into the program facilitation.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for participants to explore healing, self-awareness, and growth.
- Provide group facilitation sessions that may include relapse prevention, mindfulness, coping strategies, traditional healing practices, and other related topics.
- Collaborate with FHC Management to ensure programming complements the overall treatment experience.
- Conduct participant check-ins and support aftercare referrals as needed in alignment with ethical standards.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and reporting as required.
- Participate in team meetings and case consultations as required.
- Any other job-related duties as assigned by FHC Manager/ FHC CEO.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience facilitating addictions and mental health programming, preferably in an Indigenous treatment or community setting.
- Deep understanding of trauma, intergenerational impacts, harm reduction, and culturally grounded approaches to recovery.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to the mission and values of FHC.
- Excellent group facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to create and manage a structured curriculum with clear goals and outcomes.

**Requirements**:

- Must provide proof of 2 million dollar liability insurance.
- Must provide a current criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
- Must bring own program curriculum and facilitation materials that align with FHC's mandate and philosophy.
- Must possess all necessary tools, supplies, and resources required to deliver the program effectively.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed, depending on the program schedule.
