Location: Toronto Hybrid

Independent Business (IB) Credit Risk Management maintains the Moneris IB merchant portfolio within risk appetite regarding merchant Credit risk. The primary purpose of your role is to ensure Moneris delivers on its IB merchant underwriting (origination) due diligence program. This includes underwriting following Moneris’ enterprise risk sensitivity that balances merchant experience and credit risk.

You will work with Moneris company partners, customers such as Sales, Product to collaborate on managing credit risk, customer experience and business growth/ distribution. You will report to the Manager, Credit - IB.

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do-
- Work with and support all Moneris Sales, Partners and ISO channels to ensure merchant experience and portfolio growth are congruent with Moneris’ business/ Sales and Credit Risk tactics.- Provide ownership for implementing all Credit Risk decisions within Moneris’ Processes Controls and Functions that ensure the detection, measurement and treatment of Credit Risk factors that become necessary for review to maintain Moneris’ merchant portfolio within risk appetite cost-effectively.- Adopt a continuous improvement approach to undertake and be responsible for higher Credit Risk authority and situations. Deliver necessary partnership and collaborative support to all Moneris Sales, Partners, ISO channels and customers.- Risk assess counterparty credit risk exposure using all available information at hand with broad perspective with an outlook into the near future of the counterparty within its industry segment.-
- Learn and adopt evolving procedures to new product offerings, distribution partners, risk platform technology improvements.- Manage the Moneris Regulatory Compliance and Credit Risk Management gatekeeper function by screening for all variables applicable to the risk assessment context at hand.- The Analyst must comply with corporate policies established by Moneris Corporation including the Corporate Approvals Policy and Authorities, Suspicious Transaction Reporting Standards, Know Your Customer FINTRAC regulatory Standards, HR Code of Conduct, Technology Policy & Privacy Policy.- Work on the role following Moneris’ Credit, Risk Management, Policies, Standards and Procedures. Maintain training based on Standards and Procedures in coherence with the Moneris Policies/ Governance, Payment Card Network Operator -PCNO regulations, new product offerings or distribution partners.Your Moneris Career - What you bring- 2 years' experience with credit analysis (personal and commercial) in financial services- Work or Academic experience reviewing financial statements and ratios- A certification of a CPA or CFA and CCP (Certified Credit Professional) or FCSI or other Canadian securities institute designation- Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work with all levels of staff and the customer- Understanding of the payment card network industry (issues, trends, risk practices)- Fluent use with different technology systems and tools (Excel)- Demonstrate a tactful mindset, ability to create and align priorities- Manage complexity and build partnerships- Demonstrate flexibility, and agility to adapt to changing priorities- Resilient under pressure

Nice-to-have...- Experience with data analytics and Moody’s- Strong advocacy, negotiation and partnership skills to balance partner input but remain objective to reach the right outcome
