Your Tasks
- To oversee all shipping and receiving of materials and ensure all necessary files are provided and maintained using most cost effective/efficient suppliers.
- Oversees the efficient and accurate packaging of all containers, cardboard boxes and bins for deliveries.
- Oversees the timely deliveries and pick-ups of all parts/components including all painted and washed parts.
- Ensures all shipping and receiving records are maintained including files for incoming and outgoing materials and products.
- Sources trucking companies that help reduce cost while still meeting customer demands.
- Approves trucking invoices for all trucking companies used by KIRCHHOFF Automotive
- Provides training to new/existing employees within department.
- Provides Engineering department with expertise when designing new packaging, i.e. how many parts can fit in container, cost of shipping etc.
- Completes all requisitions for department supplies.
- Oversees and assists in maintaining of storage, shipping and receiving areas ensuring they are kept clean, safe and tidy.
- Cooperates with the Safety Committee and adhere to all plant safety rules and regulations.
- Maintains positive employee relations and address issues in timely manner. Seek advice/counsel from appropriate sources as required.
- Any other reasonable request made by management.
- Contributes to a safe, clean and comfortable work environment that complements the Occupational Health and Safety Act by ensuring the principles of the 5S discipline (simplify, separate, sanitize, standardize and support) are supported and adhered to.
- Ensures he/she is in full compliance with the laws of Ontario and/or any other province or state, while representing KIRCHHOFF Automotive or during the use of any KIRCHHOFF Automotive provided equipment.

Your Profile
- Valid forklift license
- Minimum two (2) years automotive/shipping experience
- IATF 16949/ISO 14001 requirements
- Sound understanding of bar code label printing and scanning technology
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
