**Responsibilities**:

- The Q. A. Inspector shall assist the Quality Assurance Manager/Supervisor to ensure that all WIP and finished products manufactured on his/her shift meet all specification requirements. Reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.
- The Q. A. Inspector shall be responsible for:
Inspecting and/or verifying the following:
Ø Incoming material

Ø Material in process (WIP)

Ø Finished product in all areas of processes
- Performing various tests, to ensure that the products meet and/or exceed manufacturing specifications, which include:
Ø material selection for inspection and testing.

Ø collecting and preparing samples for inspection and testing.

Ø measurement and inspection and tests as per Inspection Plan.

Ø preparation of daily nonconforming reports (QA records & SAP entry)

Ø Maintaining all the inspection and test records (hard and electronic files).

Ø releasing the inspected product in a timely manner in SAP system.
- Ensures the maintenance and preventative maintenance of all instruments, and equipment used for QA measurements.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the QA Manager/Supervisor.
- To actively participate in company, staff, or individual one-on-one meetings on an ongoing basis for the purpose of effective teamwork, enhanced communication, progressive cooperation strategies within the department and across the company.
- To support profitability of the company and ongoing business operations by initiating, recommending, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- To conduct any general duties, specific projects and responsibilities as assigned or required by the Quality Assurance Manager or designate in a timely and professional manner.
- Performing the housekeeping to ensure the safety and clean environment of areas of QA activities.
- Must be familiar with all specifications and procedures used in Quality Assurance Department and Manufacturing procedures.

Tools and Equipment
- Micrometers, Calipers, Measuring Tapes and Weighing Scale.
- Personal computer and Network.
- Other standard equipment used in Indalco Alloys manufacturing environment.
- 5-years previous Quality Assurance Experience.
- ISO 9001 requirements trained /knowledge.

**Education**:
Completion of Secondary Education

Lean and Six Sigma Background preferred

ASQ Certification is a plus
