**About the Program**:
Intensive Support Supervision Program (ISSP) program is for female identifying youth (ages 12-17) in Victoria and the surrounding area. This dedicated program for young persons is a community-based alternative to custody that incorporates rehabilitative interventions and support services specific to the individual youth. The intent of the program is to provide an effective sanction that enables the young person to remain in the community and avoid custodial placement, decrease recidivism, and subsequently enhance the safety of the community.

**Position Summary**:
The Position reports to Sr. Program Manager

**What You'll Be Doing**:
Youth Support and Advocacy (40%)
- Support the young person's participation in required or voluntary rehabilitation and intervention programs, e.g. addictions counselling, youth forensic treatment, Youth Substance Abuse Management, Program, Youth Violence Intervention Program, life skills, social skills, etc.
- Assist the young person in fulfilling court-ordered reparative conditions, including community service and compensation to victims.
- Identify and engage youth in structured recreational, cultural, and community-based activities that build connection, identity, and resilience, and intentionally reduce association with high-risk or antisocial peers.
- Act as a consistent mentor, advocate, and pro-social role model, building a strong, trust-based relationship with the young person rooted in empathy, accountability, and trauma-informed practice.
- Support the young person’s sustained engagement in school, vocational training, or employment, including assisting with school re-entry, liaising with educators or employers, and advocating for accommodations when necessary.
- Work flexible hours including weekends and evenings to accommodate program and client needs.
- Accompany/provide transportation for youth to appointments, programs, or community events as needed to reduce barriers to access and model healthy community participation.
