**Purpose and Scope**:
The Buyer is the Company’s full service purchaser of all Class B purchased parts and services.
The Buyer tracks, receives quotes, purchases materials and services and manages inventory of all Class B parts for and services for the Company under the guidance of the Department Head.

**Responsibilities**:
The Cancoil Thermal Corporation Buyer will be required on a daily and/or weekly basis for all Class B purchased parts and services:
1. Analyze requirements, analyze trends, determine order quantities, prepare and transmit purchase orders and review corresponding order acknowledgments to ensure accuracy and compliance to the company’s needs.
2. Track, expedite and arrange shipping for incoming materials based on current carrier selection matrix.
3. Establish delivery schedules, monitor progress and contact suppliers to resolve problems.
4. Follow up on order acknowledgements/ confirmations, adjust due dates as necessary and communicate due date changes to Scheduling.
5. Assist Accounting Department with resolving discrepancies on invoices.
6. Track and manage warehouse inventory levels.
7. Locate, source and obtain parts and price quotations. Coordinate the approval of product specifications with the Engineering Department.
8. Maintain an updated filing system of price lists/quotations.
9. Enter price and lead-time changes in MRP System (Syteline) after obtaining new and approved quotations.
10. Enter Inventory adjustments including scrap adjustments.
11. Adhere to ISO standards, track supplier issues and concerns, issue supplier non
- conformances (SNCR’s) as necessary, follow up on supplier non-conformances to completion, organize and conduct supplier reports yearly.
12. Assist other employees in Department when required (Including Class A and C parts and services).
13. Lead cost-reduction projects.
14. Create spreadsheets, conduct analysis and undertake projects.
15. Other duties as assigned.

**Skills**:
This position requires:

- A College Diploma in Business or a related field and/or minimum 5 years Buyer work experience in manufacturing.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Be a team player
- Strong inter-personal skills
- Proficient/Expert level in Excel
- Mathematical inclination with excellent attention to detail

**Working Conditions**: The Buyer works in an environment requiring focus and attention to detail. Work is performed in a typical on-site office type setting. Frequent use of computer is required.

**Salary**: $85,000.00 per year
