**Job Title**: Turf Crew Maintenance
**Department**:Turf Crew
**Department Head**:Superintendent
**Status**:Part Time Contract (Seasonal)
**Availability**: Must be available Monday - Friday with some weeks for the months of: August - November

**Responsibilities**:

- Mow greens, fairways, tees, aprons, collars, roughs, and approaches using walk-behind and self-propelled mowers.
- Maintain bunkers by raking and grooming them using hand tools and machines.
- Perform landscape tasks such as pruning, weeding, trimming trees and plants, maintaining flower beds, and sod or seed laying.
- Hand-water turf and gardens as needed.
- Set up the course for play, including moving tee blocks and repairing divots.
- Conduct tee area cleanups including garbage bin and ball washer maintenance.
- Operate handheld tools including rake, shovel, pruners, ball mark repair tool, cup cutters
- Operate and maintain landscape equipment including weed/hedge trimmers, small engine equipment, backpack blowers, hand-held blowers, generator, pressure washers, sod cutter
- If certified to do so, operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including tractors, chainsaws, and front-end loaders
- Assist with topdressing, aerification procedures, and other turf care projects.
- Safety handling of fuel and fuel storage tanks
- Maintain cleanliness and neatness of the golf course area, including cart paths.
- Assist in construction projects such as building cart paths, building new tees, tree removal, and irrigation
- Follow all safety procedures including the use of hearing protection, eye protection, safety boots, and hard hats.

**Hours**:

- Work may involve early morning shifts, weekday and weekend hours

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in golf course or landscape maintenance is an asset but not required.
- Basic knowledge of golf rules and etiquette is preferred.
- Ability to operate power tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit to handle demanding tasks repetitively, including lifting up to 50lbs, bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking long distances.

Pay: From $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
