JOB TITLE COMMUNITY RELATIONS COORDINATOR
REPORTS TO Senior Community Relations Specialist

Come join our expanding team Manitoba Blue Cross supports a variety of valuable causes in the form of sponsorships, donations, events, and volunteerism and is looking for a motivated professional to support our team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
**Community Relations**:
- Participate in various meetings including MBC Blue Community and Stronger Together committees as well as with external charities and non-profit organizations for partnership opportunities.
- Process registration forms for approved sponsorships/donations and track initiatives on the Community Relations budget spreadsheet.
- Coordinate venue management, work plans and implementation for internal and external community engagement events.
- Respond to community sponsorship, donation and prize requests from charities and non-profits.
- Maintain an inventory of all promotional items.
- Process invoice payments for suppliers, sponsorships, donations, and scholarship programs.
- Administer client hosting and charity donations in the MBC suites at Canada Life Centre, Investors Group Field, as well as season tickets for NHL. Coordinate food and beverage purchases for suite hosting.
- Assist with the coordination of internal, client, and community events including securing of venues, menu planning, invitations, attendance, guest lists, on-site registration, etc.
- Collaborate with internal corporate communications to promote and publicize community partnerships and initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
**Administrative Support**:
- Provide a broad variety of administrative support to MBC, which may include support for various MBC Senior Leaders, Board of Directors and MMSF events.
- Prepare meeting rooms and events with the necessary supplies and coordinate with security and external venues where applicable.
- Arrange the catering for various MBC meetings and events.
- Process invoices and monthly credit card reconciliation
- Arrange travel plans and conference registrations for SLT and Board of Directors.
- Maintain office and kitchen supplies for the Executive Team.
- Maintain archival and administrative files in an organized electronic format with hard copies, as required by MBC.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Dedicated to the principles of exceptional service; committed to anticipating and responding to the needs of both internal and external customers.
- Completion of a post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in business administration, marketing, communications or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3 years experience in event planning and coordination.
- Minimum 3 years experience working with senior leaders both internally and externally in an administrative role.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders including employees, clients, non-profits, and members of the community in a professional manner.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time-management, problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner.
- Must be proficient in, have advanced knowledge of, and possess a high degree of accuracy and creativity in the use of Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, and Adobe Suite.
- Ability to work well under pressure and exercise judgment, tact and discretion.
- Previous sponsorship experience within a not-for-profit organization, an asset.
- Willingness to work outside of regular business hours, which may be required on occasion.
- Availability of an automobile and valid Manitoba Driver’s License, an asset, as occasional travel for meetings and events will be required.
