**Pival International Inc. is a global logistics and supply chain management company with a comprehensive menu of warehousing logistics solutions and transportation solutions, including time sensitivity (land and air), FTL, LTL, intermodal.**

Reporting to the Manager of Transportation, the individual will be responsible for managing the sourcing of carriers/partners for inbound/outbound shipments throughout Canada and the US in the most cost effective manner.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Proactively provide creative solutions to meet expectations.
- Responds to sales & customer inquiries.
- Track & trace orders and action accordingly
- Recruit and onboard new carriers to service the business.
- Manages carrier relationships.
- Negotiate rates and secure carriers on trips.
- Maintain relationships and manage workflow with internal stakeholders.
- Define, test and implement continuous improvement in the transportation processes.
- Work with carriers to coordinate shipments domestically and internationally.
- Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of business and management.
- Leadership and people skills.
- Excellent communication skills: written and verbal.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities to drive successful outcomes.
- Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, TMS, WMS
- Investigate and determine root cause of service failures and implement corrective actions.
- Manage freight relationships with carriers using the service level agreement’s Key Performance Indicators and regular reviews with suppliers
- Determine optimal transportation modes, routing, and equipment to meet customers’ requirements

**Required Skills/Experience**:

- Minimum of 5 years in a transportation role, preferably within a warehouse or 3PL environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with TMS, rate updates, load building, and order management.
- Good geographical knowledge to ensure goods are delivered properly, on time with cost effective carrier.
- Effective and professional communicator (oral & written).
- Strong computer skills, including MS office, and intermediate knowledge of MS Excel.
- College diploma / Associate degree
- Strong analytic, organizing and communication (oral and written) skills.
