Speech-language Pathologist

**Position Type**: Full-Time (Toronto, Brampton, Scarborough clinics and virtual when needed)
**About the Role**
**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs and goals.
- Provide evidence-based therapy to improve communication abilities and swallowing function.
- Educate and counsel clients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and home exercises.
- Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and integration of care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and progress reports in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in case conferences, professional development activities, and team meetings.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.
**Qualifications & Requirements**
- **Education**: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
- **Registration**: Must be registered and in good standing with the **College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)**.
- **Experience**: No clinical experience is required (experience in healthcare, rehabilitation, or community settings is an asset).
- **Knowledge**: Strong understanding of developmental, acquired, and neurological communication disorders.
- Familiarity with swallowing assessments (VFSS, FEES) and treatment techniques is an asset.
- Working knowledge of healthcare documentation, privacy, and ethical standards in Ontario.
- **Skills**:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
**Additional Assets (Preferred but Not Required)**
- Experience with pediatric, adult, or geriatric populations.
- Certification in Hanen programs, PROMPT, or other specialized therapy methods.
- Bilingualism (English/French or another language) is an asset.
