Stocker (West Broadway Store)

Sungiven Foods Canada is a specialty neighborhood grocery store with carefully selected private brand products. We pride ourselves as a provider of healthy daily meals. Our products are natural, less processed, and contain fewer additives for families who love cooking. We are currently looking for store Partners

Our Partners create a warm and friendly shopping experience in our stores. We answer questions, offer suggestions and ensure our customers know they are welcomed and cared for. We entertain customers and make grocery shopping an exciting adventure.

**What You'll Be Responsible For**:

- Smile, greet, and engage with every customer.
- Assist customers in a warm and friendly manner, including but not limited to directing customer to proper product items, answering grocery questions, and making buying suggestions.
- Report customer comments, complaints, and suggestions to the Store Manager.
- Display produce items and replenish displays in a timely manner.
- Offer tastes and samples in a professional and hygiene manner and provide customer with product information.
- Operate a cash register, including picking up product items from cart and scanning barcodes, processing cash register payment, bagging merchandise, and reconciling cash at end of work shift.
- Receive, check the quality, count, condition, and best before dates of merchandise.
- Stock merchandise properly and safely at stocking shelves following Work Safe BC and Company requirements.
- Participate in inventory counts.
- Maintain a clean and cozy store environment, including but not limited to store entrance, shelves, cashier register area, and bathroom.
- Clear shopping carts from cashier register area and parking lots and return the shopping carts to the proper stock area in store.
- 80% of the job responsibility involve in kitchen duties, 20% of the job responsibility involve in cashier duties.

**Who You Are**:

- Ability to lift 50+ pounds, to stand for a long period, and to constantly bend to pick up product items.
- Willingness to work a varied schedule of weekends, evenings, and early mornings.
- Loves healthy food, and living a healthy lifestyle. Willing to learn about our product and willing to help our customers.
- Entrepreneurs. We look for people who take ownership, problem solver and innovative, and is eager to become their own boss one day.
- A team player. We believe teamwork makes the dream work.
- Ability to speak conversational Mandarin or Cantonese is an asset.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
