**Role**
As part of the Shared Services team, you will report to the Director of Shared Services. This full-time permanent position will be based out of Edmonton and will work closely with our Operations team to provide guidance and direction to all workers with respect to corporate and client safety policies, practices, procedures, and legislative requirements.
- Works with employees, supervisors and management to identify potential hazards.
- Encourages and promotes a safe work culture with a positive attitude and team approach.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and hazardous conditions. Complete incident causation analysis, develop, implement and follow up on corrective actions
- Support management and employees with safety programs, participation, and compliance.
- Provide mentoring to workers and leaders in maintaining safe work habits and practices.
- Maintain a working knowledge of current OH&S legislation, Federal and Provincial laws as well as corporate and client policies and procedures.
- Participate and contribute with ongoing procedural, policy and other documentation development and updates as required.
- Maintain and track all recordable safety statistics.
- Some travel is required.
- Other duties as required.
**Qualifications**:
- 4+ years experience in HSE or a comparable role
- National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification required
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s license
- Experience with WCB claim management, ISNetworld, ComplyWorks and Avetta
- Strong knowledge base of provincial OH&S legislation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and listening skills
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) is an asset.
- EHS Management software (Workhub or similar) is an asset
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
