Snow Plow Operator for New Sudbury/minnow Lake Areas of Greater Sudbury

Snow Plow Operator

**Duties**:

- Operate snow plow equipment to clear roads, parking lots, and other designated areas
- Remove snow and ice using plows, shovels, and other tools
- Spread salt or sand to prevent ice buildup on surfaces
- Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to changing conditions
- Perform routine maintenance on snow plow equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used

**Requirements**:

- 2 years experience operating snow plow tractor equipment preferred
- Ability to work in cold and challenging weather conditions for extended periods of time
- Knowledge of snow removal techniques and best practices
- Knowledge of technology use such as GPS and tablet.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record from the MTO (Ministry of Transportation)
- Mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor as required
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Must be available 24/7 and on call

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Greater Sudbury, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Landscape maintenance: 2 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class G Licence (required)

Work Location: In person
