Groundskeeper

Hostbnb Inc is a property management company based out of Midland, ON. We manage short and long term rental units across Simcoe County, ON. We are currently seeking a Groundskeeper that would be responsible for monitoring property grounds and ensuring a pleasant appearance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain lawns by mowing, edging, raking leaves, and performing other lawn maintenance functions
- Maintain beaches at waterfront properties by raking, removing rocks and debris as needed
- Keep sidewalks and driveways clear of snow in the winter months and salt paths as needed
- Wash, clean, and re-fuel all equipment after use
- Maintain flower beds, baskets, and boxes by watering, removing weeds, trimming, and performing other maintenance
- Remove and bag trash from all exterior trash cans and perform dump runs as needed
- Wash exterior windows and siding as needed
- Ability to perform small general repairs is an asset
- Maintain the appearance of fountains, planters, or other grounds features by cleaning, replacing or making repairs
- Maintain the appearance and safety of sidewalks, driveways, cart paths, or parking lots by filling in cracks, holes, and making other repairs
- Operate trucks, or utility vehicles to transport equipment and supplies
- Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
- Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Work experience in the landscaping industry an asset
- Valid G drivers license

**Working Conditions**:

- Must be able to work in hot, humid, cold environments
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Required to move, lift, carry, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
- Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting and pulling
- Move through narrow, confined or elevated spaces
- Move up and down a ladder
- Move over sloping, uneven or slippery surfaces

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $20.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Landscape maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
- Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
