Shop Helper

**Overview**
- **Company**: Light manufacturer of cut rubber and plastic products.
- **Location**: Unique workshop on a scenic acreage in the Strathcona County area.
- **We Are Seeking**: A reliable, enthusiastic, and positive individual to support our daily operations.
- **Work Schedule**:Monday - Friday, start 8 am

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Prepare job site for work (cleaning and organizing of the production area is biggest part of the job)

Prepare materials (sanding, bonding, cleaning) for further production

Basic operation of hand tools and power tools

Help with the loading and unloading of materials

Operate pallet jack

Provide required support to the manger with the various tasks

Follow instructions and work safely under/without supervision

Other duties: watering plants, weeding, groundskeeping

Wear PPE where required

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- No experience required
- Basic computer skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record is a plus
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to work positively
- Ability to practice honest, direct, and respectful communication
- Physical stamina to safely perform the duties
- The work environment can be loud and dusty, allergy and noise sensitivity is not ideal for this role
- Commitment to working to accomplish daily goals
- Has a strong work ethic and a can-do attitude.
- Is proactive and enjoys contributing to a team.
- Is detail-oriented and committed to quality.
- Genuinely reliable and enthusiastic.
- No experience necessary, but a willingness to learn is a must

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
