Field Operations Manager

**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and manage Field Team(s), providing guidance and support as needed.
- Manage and oversee Paving and related Projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on-time and according to specifications.
- Coordinate with Project Manager, Sub-Contractors and other Stakeholders to plan and execute Operations effectively.
- Coordinate schedules and assignments for field staff to ensure optimal coverage.
- Ensure that all work is being performed safely, and in compliance with Company Policies & Procedures.
- Conduct regular Site Visits to inspect work progress, quality, and safety standards, and promptly address any issues or concerns.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to Field Staff on techniques, equipment operation and problem-solving.
- Act as liaison between Clients and Project Manager and other members of the Management Team.
- Monitor costs and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and profitability.
- Source Equipment & Materials as required.
- Communicate regularly with Clients to provide project updates, address concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Implement best practices to enhance and optimize operations;
- Prepare documents, reports, and other project-related paperwork, as required.
- Monitor team performance and assist with hiring, development and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other members of the Management Team to address operations issues or concerns.
- Assist and oversee the Training of new Team Members.
- Maintain accurate records of field activities, inventory levels and customer interactions.
- Assist with the implementation and execution of strategies to increase Sales and the overall Customer Experience.
- Assist with Sales by providing support with Estimates, preparation of Bids, Follow-Up Calls with potential Clients, etc.
- Resolve Client issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure that the Fleet of Vehicles & Equipment are properly managed by overseeing general maintenance & repairs (either by performing maintenance & repairs, or outsourcing), Licensing, Annual Safety Inspections, CVOR Compliance, etc.
- Other duties as may be assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of (2) Years experience in the Paving or related Industry.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the proficiency in effectively interacting with diverse Field Crew and Stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting Work Orders, Construction Plans, Specifications and Drawings.
- Knowledge of paving operations, paving equipment, materials, techniques and industry best practices.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities & deadlines.
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence, with Conviction-Free Driver's Abstract (minor Convictions will not exclude you from being considered). Ontario Class D(Z) or Class A(Z) is preferred, and Remuneration will be increased based on this Class of Licence. Willingness to travel to Project Sites as needed.

Pay: $62,400.00-$93,600.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Paving or related industry: 2 years (required)
- Supervisory or Managerial: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:
