As a Financial Operations Analyst reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:

- Back office support for the servicing of our Fintech product; monitoring, executing and facilitating clients' activity on their accounts and prepaid cards, supporting Account Managers in a client-facing role, preparing client reports, etc (50%)
- Daily/monthly Accounting tasks and reporting (20%)
- In-depth analysis and reconciliation of large data sets from processors, issuers and other third-party providers; building financial models with enhanced controls to support and drive business operations (15%)
- Finance-related projects; working with Product, Technology and other key stakeholders to optimize and improve internal processes (10%)
- Other duties as required (5%)

**You will also **be required** to**:

- Escalate and resolve issues with banking partners and third-party suppliers
- Propose and implement quality control and risk mitigation strategies
- Dig into the details, connect the dots and make recommendations to streamline and improve existing processes
- Work closely with Technology to ensure data is consistent and accurate for financial reporting
- Present analyses and monthly/quarterly reporting to Senior Management
- Build dashboards displaying relevant financial information, company trends and KPIs
- Participate in projects and initiatives to support the company’s growth and expansion into other verticals
- Map out processes and gather functional specifications for finance-related projects

**Qualifications**

Required experience and skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or other related field
- 1+ years of relevant work experience
- Advanced technical and financial modelling skills, 9/10 in Excel required
- Experience working with large data sets
- Problem-solver, analytical and forward-thinking
- Likes challenges; self-driven and passionate about Fintech

**Additional qualifications**:

- Experience working in the Fintech industry; strong asset
- Experience working with payment schemes including Mastercard, Visa etc.
- Experience with accounting software such as Quickbooks

English is required to interact with our international colleagues, our international financial partners such as banks and 3rd party transaction providers, clients located around the world, and external audit and financial compliance.
