We are currently seeking a **Project Coordinator** to join our team in **Vaughan, ON**

**Position Summary**:
As a **Project Coordinator **at GEMS, you will work closely with our established project managers, coordinating and tracking field activities, and acting as a liaison between field team, Project Managers, and customers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide direct support to 3-6 GEMS Project Managers, guaranteeing the timely and budget-compliant completion of project requirements and deliverables.
- Coordinate, assign and track the status of project deliverable on behalf of their Project Managers to ensure that they are submitted to Customers on time.
- Directly coordinate the scheduling of field resources, including equipment and personnel, with the Customer, ensuring confirmation of the Statement of Work (SOW), site contacts, health and safety protocols, parking, etc.
- Serve as the initial contact for GEMS staff and the Customer regarding any site-related issues.
- Subsequently, delegate these issues to the relevant Project Manager for resolution and discussion.
- Conduct comprehensive Pre-Project Reviews covering Customer, health & safety, equipment, vendor, subcontractor, and GEMS Administration requirements in collaboration with the relevant GEMS Project Managers.
- Ensure field staff, including Environmental Technicians and Scientists, receive comprehensive Job Packages before site deployment, detailing the project number, work scope, essential information for objective achievement, deliverables, and timelines.
- Manage coordination of project vendor deliverables, such as laboratory certificates of analysis, serving as the primary operational liaison for GEMS with vendors and contractors.
- Oversee the preparation of sampling container sets for commercial laboratories, ensuring compliance with laboratory specifications.
- Diligently monitor and oversee GEMS inventory to facilitate efficient project management, accurate billing, and optimal stock and equipment usage.
- Provide essential support to GEMS field staff, including technical assistance, coaching, and professional development as needed.
- Foster and participate in a Health & Safety culture.
- Maintain training, qualifications and professional designation(s), as required.
- Any other reasonable activity required by management/leadership.

**Education & Experience**:

- Post Secondary Degrees in Environmental Sciences, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in environmental field
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork.
- Highly detail oriented
- Passion for finding solutions and exceptional customer service.
- Valid G Driver’s License
- Proficient in MS software

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $48,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
