**Savvy Fire Protection**, a growing fire protection company in Calgary, is hiring a dependable and hardworking **Construction Laborer** to assist with sprinkler system installations. This role involves working directly with sprinkler fitters, handling materials, using power tools, and maintaining a clean and safe job site. If you're reliable, physically capable, and safety-focused, we want to hear from you.
## **Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist sprinkler fitters with pipe layout, installation prep, and cleanup
- Operate power tools including **drills** and **impact drivers**:

- Stage, transport, and organize piping, hangers, and other materials
- Measure and cut pipe under supervision
- Maintain job site cleanliness and perform general **housekeeping duties**:

- Lift and carry materials weighing **45 lbs or more**:

- Attend daily safety meetings and follow all OH\&S site rules
- Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to your supervisor
## **Requirements**:

- At least **1 year of experience with power tools** (e.g. drills, impacts)
- Ability to lift and carry **45+ lbs** throughout the day
- Strong housekeeping and site organization skills
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather
- WHMIS and CSTS certifications are assets
- Previous experience in fire protection or mechanical trades is a plus
## **Mandatory PPE (as per OH\&S)**:

- CSA-approved **hard hat**:

- CSA Grade 1 **steel-toe boots**:

- **High-visibility vest or apparel** (Class 2 or 3)
- **Safety glasses or goggles**:

- **Work gloves**:

- **Hearing protection**:

- **Dust mask/respirator** (as needed)
