Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Inventory Planner will be responsible for shipment coordination of finished goods, inventory levels, and related reporting. The Inventory Planner will build strong relationships with the Canadian co-packers and will ensure all relevant information is communicated back to internal Canadian Ready To Drink (RTD) stakeholders. The focus of this role is to coordinate the movement of goods from production, through repackaging and to finished goods warehouses.
**The Role**:
**_ Inventory_**
- Work with suppliers and co-packers to ensure that required materials are ordered, delivered and available for production across the re-pack network
- Place PO’s and maintain estimated time of arrival and PO corrections.
- Reconcile work-in-progress and finished goods inventory at month-end
- Monitor materials inventories and production plans across supplier and re-packers’ network
- Work closely to develop and maintain “tools” (i.e. Excel models) to improve planning
- Responsible for inventory health including but not limited to, aged inventory, expiry risk and calling out OOS risk
**_Supply Chain_***
- Coordinate shipments with co-packers, re-packers and freight forwarders
- Take ownership of all at-risk items to ensure all remediating actions are fully executed to minimize the impact to production lines and shippers
- Continually communicate status updates to stakeholders for at-risk items.
- Achieve high levels of on-time delivery to re-packers to optimize line time.
- Optimize the distribution system while enhancing customer service.
**_Supply Planning_**
- Work with the internal Canadian RTD stakeholders on specific projects/initiatives to provide production planning expertise on introduction of new items/SKUs or to transition ingredients or packaging of existing SKUs
- Monitor performance relative to contractual obligations with co-packers
- Conduct meetings with co-packers to communicate information on new items, existing issues and any material supply issues
- Other related duties as assigned
**What You'll Bring**:
- 1-2 years of experience in Supply Chain / Operations Management
- Prior CPG or Beverage Industry experience is an asset
- Bachelor’s Degree, Supply Chain specialization preferred
- Experience managing a diverse network of warehouses and production sites
- Prior experience in Inventory Planning Processes considered an asset
- Highly proficient in Excel
- Understanding of ERP functionality
- Demonstrated ability to work across functions, business units and geographies - a strong background in a matrix organization is beneficial
- Effective business systems thinker and a good understanding of business process knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with others in a diverse environment
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
