**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Director, Sales Planning Foodservice the Sales Planning Specialist role will support the assigned sales channels, i.e. National Accounts, Foodservice Distribution/Field Sales businesses in four critical areas: supply and demand optimization, contract/bid coordination, sales and customer support, and assistance on key marketing activities as necessary.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Support the Sales Planning Managers in coordinating business management and sales operational support for specific account base, dashboard management and a variety of reporting and analytics.
- Coordinate volume forecasting processes used within the sales organization; establish high levels of quality, accuracy, and consistency
- Monitor and evaluate sales efficiency and productivity against inventory position and customer plan(s)
- Coordinate contract activities (RFP, Bids, Contract Renewals) by executing cost requests, organizing meetings, gathering required bid information and managing the bid calendar
- Support the Sales Planning Managers in providing internal departments looking for customer reporting and analytics support
- Assist the Sales Planning Managers in ad hoc analyses for senior management to provide data support for business decisions
- Coordinate and execute standard monthly reporting for key accounts/Sales
- Update pricing files/templates and ensure a high level of accuracy and consistency in delivery/communications
- Collaborate with cross functions and provide support as needed with pricing implementation, data entry, info gathering
**Qualifications**:
- A Bachelor’s degree in business or a combination of education and related experience
- 2-3 years of reporting and analysis experience, preferably with Microsoft Tools
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft excel and power point.
- Ability to deal with ambiguous requirements and translate them into actionable insights
- Solid computer skills with focus on Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Self-starter with excellent organization, negotiation, follow up and decision-making skills
- Highly attentive to detail and takes pride in the quality of work
- Team player who believes in providing high level of customer service (internal & external)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and requests in an efficient manner and on a timely basis
- Adaptable, able to pivot to changing demands and processes
- Innovative and continuous improvement-focused
- Willingness to travel as needed to drive business results
