The Powder Coater is to powder coat customer materials and to ensure that the day-to-day functions as designated by his or her direct supervisor are both adhered to and done efficiently and safely. This job description includes but is not limited to the responsibilities below.

**Reports to**:
Production Supervisor

**Responsible for**:

- Reporting to work each day at the required time.
- Abiding by company policies and procedures at all times
- Keeping work area clean and free of debris
- Workspace is to be maintained in a safe manner.
- Cooperating with other employees and management
- Completing work to the best of his or her ability
- Advising management when aware of contraventions of Health and Safety
- Performing other tasks within your skill, ability and training as assigned by Management.

**Job Specific Responsibilities**:

- Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (or the “Act”) and the regulation
- Participate in the colour change process including cleaning powder coating equipment, hoses & booth.
- Thoroughly clean/maintain powder equipment.
- Recognize and trouble shoot problems and adjust accordingly.
- Ensure proper coating and quality of product.
- Verify drawings for proper powder coatings instructions.
- Inspect customer materials prior to and during coating.
- Report any problems with powder equipment performance/quality.
- Complete inspection and daily checklist of maintenance
- Communicate with Inventory Coordinator for sufficient supply of powder.

**Job Requirements**:

- Powder Coatings experience, at least 3 years (preferred)
- Able to establish between different colour on colour spectrum and recognize variance between colours
- Experience with performing colour change process in conveyor-line powder coating operations.
- Ability to Demonstrate safe work practices.
- Abiding by company policies and procedures at all times
- Cooperating with other employees and management

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
