Accounting Manager

**Job Overview**
As the accounting manager, you will play a pivotal role in steering the accounting functions of our group of companies. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and collaborate with various departments to uphold the financial integrity and growth of business
**Responsibilities**
- Lead the accounting department in daily operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and account reconciliation.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely reporting.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations regarding financial reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that drive business performance.
- Maintain accurate records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
- Provide training and support to junior accounting staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
**Qualifications**
- Minimum 3rd level CPA or equivalent and at least 3 years' full cycle accounting experience
- Highly organized and collaborative with strong management skills, strong work ethics, and critical thinking
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and think outside the box for ways to improve in a fast-paced work environment to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and ability to use Excel is essential.
- Strong skills in budgeting, account reconciliation, and account analysis.
- Experience in payroll processing and Employment Standards of British Columbia
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills for collaboration across departments and reporting to senior management using solid English verbally and written
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 21 - 40 per week
