**POSITION OVERVIEW**

Track Loaders are responsible for contributing to overall production success by ensuring a constant flow of product through egg grading machines, processing supplies through approved wash machines, and preparing packed eggs for order picking.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**General**
- Professional conduct and demeanor always
- Comply with all Company, Health and Safety and HACCP policies and procedures
- Keep area neat and tidy always (all broken eggs cleaned up, plastic ties and garbage off the floor)
- Follow proper clean up procedures
- Track Loaders will be assigned to work in either the Loader/Tray Wash area or the Track/Baskets area
- Other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager

**Loader/Tray Wash**
- Ensure continuous production by removing stacks of eggs from pallets and farm carts
- Operate forklifts to keep a constant supply of skids of eggs at the loader workstation
- Organize farm materials (pallets and dividers) by stacking onto separate pallets
- Ensure all packaging materials meet company standards
- Properly feed trays into the tray wash machine, notifying the Lead Track or Maintenance of any concerns regarding machine functionality
- Communicate with production staff regarding producer changes and any problems with the production line

**Track/Baskets**
- Communicate with production staff regarding order progress, required quantities, and any problems with eggs or packaging
- Ensure continuous production by unloading finished product from the conveyor belt and separate onto skids
- Keep accurate counts of product when stacking onto pallets, ensuring product is placed on correct skids
- Inspect finished product for general appearance and correct code dates
- Remove full skids of product from floor area to cooler. Replace when needed
- Break down baskets - five high
- Replace packer inedible pails as needed. Neatly pile returns
- Clean up part cases at the end of the track
- Report product count to Machine Operators when requested
- Ensure packers have enough product
- Count out correct number of boxes, baskets, and skids

**EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS**
- Able to read, write, and speak English and basic math skills. Grade 12 education preferred
- Equipment Operator’s Certification to operate a pallet jack required
- Previous experience working on a production line preferred
- Must have prior general experience working successfully in a team environment
- Must be able to communicate and work well with others as part of a team, demonstrating politeness, respect, and courtesy in communication and daily interactions
- Must be able to provide clear, concise general instructions for team effectiveness and productivity

**HEALTH, SAFETY, AND ENVIRONMENTAL**
- Work in compliance with divisional and legislative health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods
- Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts
- Report defect in any equipment or protective device
- Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks
- Participate in all required health, safety and environmental training
- Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor
- Assist in investigating accidents/incidents
- Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct

This is an afternoon shift with a schedule of Monday - Friday from 4:00pm - 9:00pm
