**POSITION OVERVIEW**

As a Taproom Team Lead at Sidekick Brewing, you are an essential part of creating a welcoming, inclusive community hub in Chilliwack. You will be working as a supportive team, providing gracious and knowledgeable service to whomever walks through our doors.

The Taproom Team Lead position is suited to applicants with previous serving or bartending and restaurant leadership experience. This is a full-time position with a variable shift schedule including days, evenings and weekends.

**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**

As a key member of Sidekick, you will support our mission to make our team, our community, and our world, a better place. The Team Lead at Sidekick Brewing will be working alongside the Management team to ensure processes and procedures are being adhered to.

This includes, but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

- Coordinate work activities among all front-of-house service staff to ensure better flow of service; liaise with back-of-house staff to expedite service.
- Support the training of team members to ensure consistency in the steps of service.
- Touch tables during the shift to check on guests and expedite service.
- Provide direction and guidance to all front-of-house service staff in the absence of a manager.
- Resolve guest issues encountered by the service staff in the absence of a manager.
- Access to the backend of POS in the absence of a manager.
- Maintain complete knowledge of restaurant POS for placing food orders.
- Learn and know all menu items, prices and specifications.
- Know and follow federal and provincial laws and company policies related to the sale of alcohol.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned station and service areas.
- Complete opening and closing duties as well as appropriate side work as designated by established procedures.
- Cutting shifts as business declines in the absence of a manager
- Report when items have 86 or inventory is running low to a manager
- All other duties as assigned

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**
- Willingness to learn
- Any beer/brewery knowledge is an asset but not required

**Salary**: $17.50-$19.50 per hour
