Chung and Vander Doelen Engineering Ltd. is a PEO licensed consulting engineering firm that fulfills multiple needs of the public and private sectors in the fields of geotechnical, environmental, materials, and wastewater engineering, hydrogeology, and provides inspection services during the construction phase of a wide variety of projects. We have formed strategic alliances with other technical firms, in order to provide multi-disciplinary service to our clients.

Chung & Vander Doelen Engineering is currently seeking an **Intermediate Field Technician** to join our team in Kitchener, Ontario.

**General Responsibilities**:

- Performing construction inspections and quality control/assurance testing for various construction projects
- Carry out roofing and building envelope inspections
- Carry out field concrete, mortar, and grout testing as per CSA/CCIL requirements
- Carry out laboratory testing on soils and concrete
- Conduct field compaction testing of soils and asphalt
- Liaise with project engineers and client’s site representatives
- Communicate results with client, contractor, and your team leaders/managers
- Writing technical reports and correspondence
- Participating in a team environment

**Qualifications**:

- College Diploma in Geotechnical, Civil, Geological, or equivalent
- Eligible or in the process of obtaining C. Tech. or C.E.T. designation through OACETT is an asset
- 3+ years of relevant working experience since graduation
- Strong people skills and a desire and ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Products (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Demonstrating a “Safety-First” focus and acting as a role model to other staff
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Be available for local travel and extended working hours when required

This position involves work-related travel therefore, a valid driver’s license, insurance, and personal vehicle are required (work-related travel expenses will be compensated). In return for your hard work and dedication, CVD offers a remuneration package made up of an annual salary and profit-sharing. In addition to your salary, you will receive comprehensive benefits.

**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
