**Operations Supervisor**
We are in the midst of a plant rebuild, seeking an organized, forward thinking and process-minded individual, with a focus on effective operation management skills. Working with other teams in the facility, the main focus of this role is executing process, safe operating procedures, decrease waste and day-to-day management of the largest team in the facility.

**Afternoon Shift**:
- Monday - Thursday
- 11am - 9.30pm
**General Duties**:
The Operations Supervisor ensure all operations employees are effectively managed, trained, safe and enforce all of Del’s internal policies as well as legal compliance (Occupational Health and Safety and other legislation).
**Production**
- Shared responsibility for Packaging and Production, including scheduling required staff, managing job related training, and overseeing employee relations.
- Identify opportunities for improvement along with Operations and move Production and Packaging Department teams into action to improve results
- Along with Quality Assurance, review, maintain and improve Safe Quality Food System (SQF) as well as monitor preventative sanitation enforcement.
- Ensure and enforce compliance with Food Safety, Product Quality, Environmental and Employee’s Health and Safety regulatory guidelines
- Performs routine plant walks to monitor activities of production and packaging divisions
- Submit REQs for staffing
- Works closely with every operation department (Shipping, Maintenance, Quality, HR) to address any issues that arise or that would affect the production of healthy, sanitary products and building repairs
- Issues work orders to maintenance when required
- Ensure daily production schedule is on track and any mistakes/issues and defects are documented
- Daily reports on all activity uploaded into system and communicated during huddles
- Work with Lead Hands to ensure all job-related training is completed and other compliance measures are in effect
- Eliminate downtime
- Ensure food safety remains high priority and is an ambassador for a food-safe culture
- Other duties as required
**Teamwork and Leadership**
- Reviews all departments’ working hours and Time & Attendance weekly for submission to payroll
- Approves or denies any employee initiated time off requests and coordinates with Human Resources proper processing
- Responsible for overseeing labour trends, performance management while working alongside human resources when required
- Leads by example for all safety standards, compliance measures, respect in the workplace and food safety
- Train new hires on new and legacy initiatives to effectively run operations.
- Document all training records
- Coach, train and motivate team
- Work alongside other department heads to conduct root analysis for mechanical issues, staffing and labour issues, occupational health and safety, food safety, logistics errors for the collective goal of eliminating downtime.
- Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies
- Responsible for ensuring department adheres to all safe operating procedures as well as hiring and training outlines
- Helps establish OKRs for department
**Qualifications**:
- 2+ years previous supervisory experience in food processing, manufacturing or other highly regulated industry.
- Previous experience working with HACCP and GFSI (SQF or BRC) requirement.
- Attention to detail.
- Must have valid MHE Certification - Counterbalance, Stand-Behind Walkie, Stand-On-Walkie
- Must think quickly on feet and handle stress well.
- Must be an excellent communicator - both written and verbal.
- Must be able to troubleshoot discrepancies and explain in a clear and easy to understand way.
- Must be a leader and drive enforcement of policies.
- Must have strong computer skills, time management and be technologically inclined.
- Change management and business development skills.
