**Shift Available**: _Day Shift_ (6:30am
- 3:00pm), _Afternoon Shift_ (2:30pm
- 11:00pm),

and _Night Shift_ (10:30pm
- 7:00am)

**Position Reports to**: Operations Manager

**Company Introduction**

We are a privately held company, that specializes in automotive manufacturing. We support our customers through a great variety of services, ranging from metal stamping and sub assembly craftmanship, to engineering and design support, and tool building expertise.

**Responsibilities**:

- Schedule and supervise any direct activities relating to the welding and assembly department, and ensure quality standards are met.
- Support Lean manufacturing through full compliance with business processes
- Establish and maintain effective communication with all departments
- Complete all required safety documentation
- Enforce and ensure compliance of occupational health and safety regulations
- Support organizational and departmental implementation of Operating procedures.
- Ensure procedures are being followed and appropriate documentation is being made, in accordance to IATF 16949.
- Promote fairness to workgroup.
- Support organizational initiatives, by suggesting new ideas on how to improve the manufacturing process.
- Coach, develop, and train new staff as required.
- Determine appropriate methods and quality plans that support organizational welding and assembly standards.
- Conduct investigations and take disciplinary action when required.

**Requirements and Qualifications**
- Engineering degree (preferably in welding or mechanical engineering)
- Knowledge of GMAW and robotic and resistance welding theory and practical experience Knowledge of GD&T
- Knowledge of mechanical assembly theory and practical experience.
- Knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing
- Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Automotive Manufacturing Experience
