**Hours of Work**: Monday to Friday - 37.5 hour per week

Under the general supervision of the Child Care Director and the direct supervision of the

Assistant Director, the Early Childhood Educator is responsible to maintain and develop the children’s program with their group of children in the Wakayosi Wati Childcare Centre. This team member must adhere to all the policies and regulations as set out in the Parent Handbook and Child Care Staff Manual.

The position entails working Monday-Friday for a total of 37.5 hours per week. This position combines supporting all age groups and educators and creating and implementing developmentally appropriate programming. The successful applicant will be responsible for children's safety and development.

**Responsibilities**:

- Providing a safe and enriching environment for all children
- Programming for children utilizing the Play and Exploration principles
- Be a team player, punctual, reliable, and have a positive attitude
- Support and work collaboratively with parents and all stakeholders
- Communication is professional, effective, and respectful

**Qualifications**:
**Required**:

- Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- Criminal record check with vulnerable Sector Check
- Early Childhood Education Level 1
- Experience working with Children 0-6 years
- Knowledge of child development
- Availability between 7am-6pm

**Asset**:

- Play and Exploration Certificate and Training
- Previous experience in Early Learning Centre or Daycare
- Any additional childcare training
