Job Title: Archaeology Project Director or Field Director

We are truly a British Columbia wide firm with offices in Terrace, Prince Rupert, Bowser (central Vancouver Island), and Vancouver. Kleanza is currently seeking exceptional Project Managers, Field Directors and Field Supervisors for full-time positions based out of our Vancouver office. The position will primarily be based in Vancouver but may include travel throughout BC.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
field work, report writing, interacting with clients, working with First Nations, project planning, developing project scopes and estimates, developing research design, managing project budgets, deliverables, and timelines, and supervising crews.
Applicants must be physically fit and hold a valid class 5 Driver’s License and Level I First Aid. Additional training such as ATV, snowmobile, and Wilderness First Aid certification would be an asset.
**QUALIFICATONS**:
- Bachelor or graduate degree in archaeology or anthropology
- Have experience supervising field staff and office-based colleagues
- Excellent report-and proposal-writing skills
- Enjoy being a mentor to more junior colleagues
- Familiarity with BC archaeology and the HCA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment with mínimal supervision
- Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 as well as Word, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat Software. SharePoint experience would be an asset.
- Experience with Wrike project management software or other project management software considered an asset (Trello, Monday or Asana)
**PROJECT MANAGER**:
Ideal applicants will be a Permit Holder in at least one culture area in BC (preference to Northwest Coast) and have a proven track record of undertaking ethical archaeology with and for First Nations on Vancouver Island and the rest of the province. Applicants must be an approved Field Director.
**FIELD DIRECTOR**:
Applicants must be approved Field Directors with the British Columbia Archaeology Branch and have a proven track record of undertaking ethical archaeology with and for First Nations on Vancouver Island and the rest of the province.

**SALARY RANGE (net of benefits above)**:
- Project Managers: $88,000 - $106,000 per year
- Field Directors: $75,000 - $95,000 per year
