The Staff Scheduler is responsible for coordinating staffing for the Hospital and that proper resourcing is assigned to all areas. This position supports the short call desk by managing sick call relief coverage, requests from leaders for additional resources, the filling of vacant shifts through the applicable call in procedure, transport staff and all staffing needs as required of the Hospital

Job Requirements:
**QUALIFICIATIONS**
- Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent)
- A minimum of two (2) years’ recent relevant experience in a staff scheduling environment (Health Care preferred)
- Experience in the roles of daily staffing and schedule posting in an unionized environment (working knowledge of scheduling language related to the ONA, CUPE, SEIU and OPSEU collective agreements preferred)
- Experience with computerized scheduling and timekeeping systems (Kronos - ESP preferred)
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Excellent organization and administration skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities within a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail while working through complex processes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team displaying willingness to assist others and supporting team decisions.
- Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance record is a requirement of this position

**COMPENSATION**

- Hourly rate of pay $28.88 - $29.44, additional 14% in lieu of benefits and 4% in lieu of vacation to start.

**HOURS OF WORK**

Permanent Part Time. Shifts include days, evenings and weekends. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements and as per the CUPE collective agreement.
