**This is a 6-month mandate in Youssoufia or Safi, Morocco.**

The mandate is part of the Volunteer Cooperation Program (VCP) Equality in Action, which is being implemented in 12 countries and 3 regions over an eight-year period (2020-2028). The VCP aims to increase the involvement of local partners in developing countries in inclusive, innovative, and sustainable development initiatives that advance gender equality. Oxfam’s role is to support these organizations, which work with the most vulnerable and marginalized populations, in claiming and exercising their rights. Oxfam places the rights of women, girls, and vulnerable and marginalized people at the heart of all its actions.

**Your daily responsibilities will include**:
In close collaboration with the Oxfam Morocco team and the partner organization Kholoud, the advisor will be responsible for:

- Supporting and strengthening the partner’s capacity to listen to and care for women victims of violence and people with disabilities (listening and communication techniques).
- Contributing to the partner’s development in effective approaches to social work, case management, identification of vulnerable cases and specific needs, psychosocial intervention, and record keeping.Assisting the partner in developing tools for case management and monitoring, intervention planning, and care strategies.

**Requirements for this mandate**:

- Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status in Canada;
- Undergraduate degree in psychology, social work, or other related disciplines;
- At least 2 years of experience working with the target populations;
- Experience in adult training and excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, TEAMS, ZOOM, etc.;
- Fluency in Arabic (listening and speaking) is mandatory;
- Excellent written and spoken proficiency in French and English;Commitment to Oxfam’s mission and values, including the promotion of gender equality.
