**Title**:LeadEstimator

**Job Type**:Full-Time

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Analyze tender documents by reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications;
- From those tender documents, visualize the work entailed and prepare a detailed plan to execute work in an efficient manner;
- Conduct site visits;
- Complete the entire bid preparation process. Including: quantity take-offs, sub-trade procurement, pricing and closing procedures;
- Adequality calculate material, labour and equipment costs and requirements;
- Work closely with the Operations Team in project development activities such as scope definition and preconstruction planning including budgets and cost plans;
- Identify and complete risk analysis associated with projects.
- Identify competitors and understand current market conditions;
- Work with the sales team to identify leads and opportunities.
- Able to attend site visits; including travel out of town possibly for days at a time;
- Cost analysist;
- Project participation, review, and close out meetings;
**Qualifications and Skills**
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a **Civil Estimator **role.
- A college diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Degree in Construction Management
- **Note**:a combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Highly effective negotiation, communication and conflict resolution skills required.
- General knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing.
- Strong ability to read and understand construction drawings, purchase orders, and contracts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Programs.
- Excellent problem solving, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workloads while thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Must hold a Valid Class 5 Driver's license.
