**Job Purpose**:
Wurth Canada is currently in search of a Contract Product Quality specialist who will be responsible for assisting with the development and maintenance of quality and risk assessment for Wurth Canada. Reporting to the Director of Product, you will lead operational reviews to assess any non conformances with regulatory obligations and recommend regulatory action when warranted.

**The role **will include**:
- Work with cross functional departments to remain customer centric regarding product claims
- Manage and formulate a time sensitive product program regarding expiration dates
- Conduct product inspections and manage quarantined products in the Guelph warehouse
- Work with our Product Coordinator and product team on reporting field communications pertaining to recalls and defects
- Reporting and documenting product defects to the sales organization
- Direct quality control inspections and performing independent testing on various products (industrial supplies)
- End-to-end ownership of quality control activities in main distribution centre
- Timely resolution of receiving issues (product type, quantity, packaging/labelling, paperwork) to improve stock availability
- Directs stock checks, corrections, and resolutions in offsite warehouse (Acheson, ALBA)
- Analyze quality/complaints and report on trends; investigate further when required
**Required skill sets and traits**:
- Deep knowledge of QC systems and processes
- Experience in risk management, analysis, documentation, and QC procedures and working methods
- Experience working with both domestic & international manufacturing partners
- Proven track record of working in a collaborative team environment
- ISO experience
- Background in industrial supplies including (but not limited to) tools, abrasives, chemicals, etc is an asset
- Meticulous attention to detail and strategic contingency-planning skills
- Ability to deal continuously with confidential information and work under tight deadlines
- Strong writing and reading skills
- Able to work and find solutions independently
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- 2+ years quality experience and in-depth working knowledge with B2B products or consumer goods
