**THE OPPORTUNITY**
- Inspect all salami before being hung according to quality standards.
- Rack the product and ensure proper spacing of salami on sticks and racking
- Ensure recipes are followed in an accurate manner
- Ensuring accurate scaling of different components of the product batch
- Ability to cross-train within the department
- Responsible for bringing Raw Material into the assigned room
- Responsible for preparing meat ingredients for chopping
- Responsible for setting up various workstations
- Required to operate heavy machinery (flakers)
- Responsible for maintaining food safety standards in work responsibilities and report food safety issues to QA immediately.
- Work in a safe manner in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act by reporting all hazards, accidents, incidents or near misses to the Supervisor.
- Follow all prescribed SOPs, rotation schedules, HACCP and GMP procedures
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

**THE REQUIREMENTS**
- Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
- Great attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced, cold environment
- Knowledge of safe food processing is an asset
- Must be able to wear steel toe boots, a hairnet, bump cap, face mask, hearing protection and in some cases safety glasses.
- Good manual dexterity
- Great team-work skills
- Basic computer skills are required
- Basic math skills are required
- Ability to multitask is an asset
