Network Service Technician

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks, managing time efficiently
- Willing to work overtime, occasional weekends, evenings
- Able to do physically demanding work i.e., digging and carrying of heavy equipment
- Able to work in varied weather conditions
- Must be safety conscious
- Basic math skills
- Excellent collaboration/communication skills; able to communicate and receive direction from others
- Able to understand instructions and underlying principles in the telecommunication industry
- Mechanically inclined; able to maintain company truck, machinery or tools assigned, trouble-shoot, repair and replace as appropriate
- Geographical knowledge sufficient to read maps and follow directions
- Competent problem-solving skills
- Able to work efficiently with mínimal supervision; Self-motivated, disciplined, organized and a team player
- Must adhere to all company specific policies and regulations

**Responsibilities**:

- Dig pits, open or machine trench
- Assist in placing conduit and pulling cables through ducts
- Assist with all facets of the installation of telecommunication infrastructure
- Excavate, backfill and compact earth using various hand-held tools
- Remove debris from worksites
- Complete short distance trenching
- Place ground level boxes, pole anchors
- Assist in a variety of landscape restoration projects
- Read and understand build prints and built plant according to the prints; Complete, maintain and read as-built drawings

- **Must be eligible to work in Canada**:

- **Experience in construction an asset**:

- **Previous experience in telecommunications an asset**:

- **Knowledge of industry landscaping/concrete/asphalt repair techniques an asset**
