CCTV Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled CCTV Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV systems and related equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of computer networking, electrical systems, and mechanical knowledge to ensure the effective operation of surveillance technologies. The CCTV Technician will work closely with clients to assess their security needs and provide tailored solutions.

Duties

• Install, configure, and maintain CCTV systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to plan installations effectively.
• Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of existing systems to identify issues and implement repairs.
• Collaborate with construction teams to integrate CCTV systems into new builds or renovations.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installations.
• Work with low voltage wiring and ensure compliance with electrical codes.
• Set up computer hardware for system integration and connectivity.
• Implement intrusion detection systems (IDS) and sensors as part of comprehensive security solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service requests.

Experience

• Proven experience in CCTV installation and maintenance is preferred.
• Strong background in computer networking, including understanding of IP configurations.
• Familiarity with electrical systems and low voltage applications is essential.
• Mechanical knowledge related to the operation of various tools and equipment is required.
• Experience in construction environments is beneficial for understanding site requirements.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation is necessary.

Pay: $18.05-$25.99 per hour
