**Your Role**: As a Youth Caregiver, you’re at the heart of it all. You’ll be supporting and guiding young people, helping them grow into who they’re meant to be. You’re also responsible for keeping the home clean, safe, and supportive, ensuring it’s a space where youth can thrive. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

**Responsibilities**: Your day will be full of tasks that matter, like:
- **Building Relationships**: You’ll offer support that helps smooth the transition for the youth in our care.
- **Crisis Management**: Handling tough situations like overdoses or high-risk behaviors with calm and knowledge.
- **Plan Adherence**: Sticking to care plans and safety protocols is key.
- **Medication Administration**: You’ll oversee meds and make sure everything’s documented right.
- **Daily Documentation**: Keeping track of progress notes, incidents, and life skills.
- **Household Management**: You’ll be responsible for basic care of the home - cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry, and ensuring the house is always a safe and clean environment.
- **Transportation and Household Duties**: Using your own car for youth transportation and helping with meals and housekeeping.
- **Community Engagement**: Getting youth involved in fun activities outside the home.
- **Role Modeling**: Creating a positive environment and setting a good example.
- **Supervisory Duties**: Overseeing family visits and appointments when needed.
**Minimum Requirements**:
- Full driver’s license.
- First Aid and Naloxone Certificates.
- Privacy training (FOIPPA).
- A personal vehicle for transporting youth.
- Ability to work with youth dealing with tough behaviors like addiction and/or aggression.
- Relevant education or experience in a similar field.
- Crisis prevention training and/or experience.
**Additional Information**:
- You’ll be working in Abbotsford area homes.
- MCFD screening is required when you start and every three years after.
**Benefits for Full-Time Staff**:

**Schedule**:
- 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends.
- You’ll need to be flexible to meet the needs of the role.
**Eligibility**:
- You should be able to commute or plan to relocate to Abbotsford.
- At least one year of relevant experience.
- Class 5 license and First Aid certification.
**Work Location**: You’ll be working in person at specific locations.

Pay: From $25.02 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 36 per week
