We are currently recruiting for an Environmental Health & Safety Co-op Student / Safety Administrator (12-month Contract) for our facility in Cambridge, Ontario.

Key responsibilities are:

- Assist in updating the Manufacturing JHSC safety board.
- EHS administration tasks such as entering accident investigation reports.
- Review and update fall protection - inventory of working at heights.
- Review and update confined space - inventory locations.
- Complete chemical inventory SDS and update workplace labels.
- Assist with Corporate audit items and annual EHS business plan.
- Review and update spill kits inventory and needs analysis.
- Create Safe Operating Procedures and / or update existing ones.
- Assist with the review of the training matrix and identified gaps.
- Update emergency plans/maps.
- Perform fit testing for staff as needed.
- Update Lockout / Tag out procedures and placards.
- Ordering and expediting of safety related items.
- Assist with researching machine guarding fixtures.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Some safety related post-secondary education.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated and work effectively with mínimal direction.
- Effective organizational skills required in order to meet multiple deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a high pressure work environment.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
