Driver and Fleet Coordinator

**Position**: Driver and Fleet Coordinator, Seasonal Part Time
** Company**: Coach Canada/Trentway-Wagar
**Location**: 5550 Boul Monk, Montreal, Quebec
**Hours of Work**: Friday - Monday, hours TBD
**What you will do**:
- Coordinating the day to ensure buses are ready to go for drivers scheduled departure times.
- Act as the main source of contact and line of help for drivers.
- Coordinate daily scheduling of fleet and drivers, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
- Monitor and adjust dispatch plans in real-time to accommodate unexpected changes, delays, or emergencies.
- Communicate with drivers to relay dispatch instructions, route changes and last-minute work.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Provide excellent employee support, addressing and resolving any issues or complaints.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to improve service quality and operational performance.
- Other administrative tasks as required.
**Qualifications**:
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations, laws, and best practices
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in dispatch, customer service, or a related field
- Strong geographic knowledge of the area served.
- Proficient in the use of dispatch software and strong computer skills
- Proficient with word and proven experience using excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (French and English is required)
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to unexpected changes in schedules or routes.
