We are seeking a **Shipping Lead** for our distribution center in Surrey, BC. This position is responsible for leading shipping and warehouse areas of the facility and provide work direction on the day-to-day activities of the area with direction from the Warehouse Supervisor.

**Essential Duties**
- Lead in the day-to-day activities of warehouse workers
- Obtain work orders; prioritize and organize them
- Check and compare work order with given items
- Mark items/palettes for loading
- Coordinate filling, pulling, packing and sets up orders for delivery or pickup
- Assist in loading the delivery trucks
- Assist in keeping facility clean, neat, safe and operating efficiently
- Coordinate back orders
- Ensure trucks are loaded correctly and securely
- Ensure a safe and clean work area

**Essential Job Skills and Experience**

**Education/experience**: Any combination of education providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be:

- High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 2 years of shipping and warehousing experience
- Previous lead experience preferred

**Skills/Knowledge Required**:

- Ability to lead and work with a team
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Able to lift up to 50lbs without assistance and more than 50lbs using a team-lift
- Able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
- Able to stoop, kneel or crouch for extended periods of time
- Basic computer skills
- Good hand-eye coordination
