Inventory Manager/analyst

**Position Summary**
We are seeking a proactive and analytical Inventory Manager/Analyst to take full ownership of inventory planning, purchasing, and replenishment operations for our warehouse in Etobicoke. This onsite role is responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels, ensuring accuracy across systems, and placing inventory orders with vendors based on real-time and forecasted demand.
A key focus of this role is to improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of outbound merchant shipments. Using our auto-replenishment system, sales trends, and customer behavior data, this individual will refine replenishment logic to consolidate shipments and optimize fulfillment costs.
**Key Responsibilities**
Inventory Management & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate inventory levels across physical stock and internal systems
- Perform and lead cycle counts, investigate variances, and make adjustments as needed
- Analyze product movement, sales trends, and demand forecasts to inform reorder timing and quantities
- Identify and report on slow-moving, aging, or high-velocity SKUs
- Track and report on inventory KPIs including turnover, aging, variance, and shrinkage
Procurement & Vendor Ordering
- Place all inventory replenishment orders with product vendors based on system triggers, trends, and operational needs
- Track open purchase orders and coordinate inbound deliveries to align with warehouse capacity and demand
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely fulfillment and issue resolution
- Identify opportunities to adjust order frequency or volume to optimize inbound inventory flow
Auto-Replenishment Optimization & Fulfillment Efficiency
- Manage and fine-tune rules within the auto-replenishment system to improve outbound fulfillment logic
- Analyze merchant order history, behavior, and seasonal trends to reduce unnecessary repeat shipments
- Recommend consolidated shipment strategies where practical
- Ensure replenishment logic balances shipping cost savings with merchant inventory needs and satisfaction
- Collaborate with Product Ops and Merchant Onboarding to align replenishment logic with operational realities and new product rollouts
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate closely with:
- Product Operations - for inventory impact of new programs or products
- Merchant Sales - to understand forecasted demand and special merchant requirements
- Provide reporting and insights to internal stakeholders on inventory trends and fulfillment efficiency
**Key Skills & Qualifications**
Required
- 4-6 years of experience in inventory management, supply planning, or fulfillment operations
- Proven experience with inventory planning and purchase order placement
- Familiarity with auto-replenishment systems and rules-based logic for inventory distribution
- Intermediate to advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, formulas, trend analysis)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large sets of item-level data
- Comfortable working onsite and hands-on in a warehouse/distribution environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered
- Experience coordinating international shipments and customs clearance processes, including working with customs brokers and managing duties and import documentation
- Experience in prepaid products, serialized item fulfillment, or retail product operations
- Prior exposure to outbound shipment optimization and freight cost reduction tactics
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP tools
- Ability to generate and monitor KPIs, and contribute to team and individual OKRs
