At **Praguery**, we pride ourselves on offering high-quality pastries made from **natural, premium ingredients**. Our menu features a wide range of products, including chimney cakes, cream puffs, cheesecakes, danishes, and more. Our central kitchen plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and freshness of everything we serve.
As as Assistant Pastry Chef, you will support our head pastry chef with daily tasks - create a wide variety of high-quality treats - danish dough, mousses, syrups, cheesecakes, and more. Organizing, and cleaning the kitchen area to. This role requires high attention to detail.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries
- Morning shift from 7am
- Prepare toppings and ice cream fillings
- Organizing, and cleaning the kitchen area
- Packaging and sealing
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace following health and safety regulations.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Prior pastry experience is preferred
- A degree in the Culinary Arts or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred (not required)
- Follow our procedures/recipes to meet our product standard
- Physically fit and able to lift 20kg
- Commit to start 7am
- High energy to work effectively
- Punctual & reliable to show up all scheduled shifts
- Attentive to detail and understands the importance of a clean, organized kitchen
- Good English language communication skills

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

**Education**:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
**Experience**:
- dough sheeting : 1 year (preferred)
- Baking: 1 year (required)
- pastry production: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Safety Certification (required)
