Connect Tech is looking for a Procurement and Sourcing Specialist to join our growing Purchasing team. This would be an onsite part-time temporary contract position.

**Job Requirements**:

- Updating executives about the actions of the procurement department regularly
- Creating strategies for increasing supply chain efficiency
- Ensures that the company's materials and products meet all of their specifications
- Prepare proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements
- Analyze industry and demand trends and support senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies
- Researching and identifying prospective suppliers
- Liaising with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relations
- Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria
- Perform supplier, market and category analysis, focusing on the relative competitive positioning of current and potential suppliers, changes to supplier cost structures, technology trends, and competitive activities. Provide recommendations and risk mitigation strategies based on findings to the leadership team.
- Assess, define and resolve complex procurement issues
- Develop, maintain, and utilize professional networks to achieve procurement objectives.
- Undertake other duties as required in support of the department.
- Review material shortages, stock outages, safety stock levels and work with operations to meet customer requirements. Propose changes when and where needed.
- Maintain and update the supplier database and find alternative suppliers if the existing ones are unable to meet their obligations

**Skills/Qualifications**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding organization and time management skills
- Extensive understanding of the services or products the business sells and the industry it operates in
- Ability to anticipate sales and determine which items the company will need most
- Good understanding of basic math, accounting, and budgeting
- A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies
